Adjective Bags

This week we talked about adjectives. Students created anchor charts in their notebooks and completed some fun activities. Today, they brought in brown bags disguising an object they chose to bring in. The bags then had four descriptive adjectives that served as clues for the rest of the class to guess the item. The kids loved it!

This I Believe...

Our students hav been working on opinion pieces in writing. Recently, they created their "I Believe" lists based on their personal beliefs and opinions. We were blown away by how thoughtful and inspiring their lists were.

COSI on Wheels!

COSI on Wheels visited Ridgeway today. Some of our third graders were chosen to participate in this fun assembly about energy. The kids loved the presentation and came away with more knowledge about the types of energy and how energy is used to produce electricity.

WinterIs

This is Mr. Arnold's homeroom and Mrs. Baker's homeroom. We've been working on a "Winter Is" poem where the students create and write their own metaphors for Winter. They did a fabulous job.
Enjoy:)

Dictionary Day

Today, the third graders received their dictionaries as a gift from the Rotary Club of Hamilton. The Rotary also talked to the students about character and how to work hard towards their future goals. The third graders are very excited about their dictionary gift. Back in our classrooms we used our dictionaries to practice skills with a dictionary dice game. Thank you Hamilton Rotary!!
